Our absolutely brilliant admin and friend Dustin Hamilton sadly passed away yesterday.

He was always so focused on helping other people and making sure he did everything he could to answer peoples queries.

More Having an admin like that on a community group about sharing a niche passion is absolutely priceless.

How I wish I could of said thank you more. He was just an absolutely amazing person.

Please take a moment to look at the Go Fund Me that has been set up to help support his family during this time.

And I ask that in Dustin’s name, for all of the incredibly hard work he put into this page to make it what it has become today, that we treat one another with kindness and help each other when we can. Don’t let his hard work go to waste. He did so much for this place.

Bless you Dustin and your family. Today is a very sad day.

Finally finished my collection and display boxes. This has been a fun and frustrating project. Lots of mistakes along the way but learned new skills and tips for doing this in the future.
Tips: harder foamMore works best. Then seal it with white pva glue. This makes applying the fabric easier and keeps the cartridges in place.
The first few attempts I didn’t harden the foam and the cartridges in the lids kept falling out.

Cut deep. The deeper the better.

Cut the foam tight to the item. Even though the foam is hardened it still has some give so you can get the cartridges in and out but it will grip them in place.

The hardest part is the fabric which you can see has lots of wrinkles. The less… More

While I plan to install a USB-C charging port mod for my Nintendo DS original in which the mod is compatible with the GBA SP also as the OG DS & GBA SP both had the same charging connector. If I ruin solderMore pads on the OG DS motherboard for the charging port by mistake, where would an alternate solder point exist on the PCB? As you can see, this photo consists of the DS charging port with a red line where the red line indicates the charging port solder pad number 2. What is an alternate solder pad for charging port pad 2 on the OG DS where can solder a wire from the USB-C mod board’s solder pad to the OG DS PCB?

One of my favorite shows in the 80s was The Incredible Hulk. Family would watch it on Fridays. When it had its finale in 1990, we missed it. We were out and missed it. I was truly sad. After 33 years, I get to see it. For its age, it still very watchable.

I recently discovered that there is a Game Boy Color (GBC) game called, “Grimace’s Birthday”, which is related to McDonald’s & features Grimace, a fictional character from McDonald’s! I downloaded that gameMore from the internet & loaded it on a Game Boy/Game Boy Color emulator which works on there well! NOTE: I used a Nintendo DS Lite console with an R4 flash cartridge & I have the GB & GBC emulator on there.

Finally managed to track down a silver Madcatz metal case to match my unhinged SP.
Just my luck, the lock mechanism doesn't seem to work so the front of the case just flies open with gravity! 🙈
Any idea if this could be fixed or should I just send it back?

I did a really quick hatchet job to get the rear of the shell. Cutting isn't really my thing and if spending a bit more time could have done a better job. But it fits. So here it is... The final version allMore working.

This one uses a Pi Zero. The kit has safe shutdown, digital audio and battery charging. Fits a 3.2" LCD with a tiny amount of modding. The Retrosix shells need very little modding to fit your LCD. So that was a bonus.

Additional X and y buttons can be added if needed.

Does anyone have much experience with ps3 super slims it wasn't reading discs so I watched it with the lid open and the laser was red instead of blue when a blu ray disc was in and the disc wouldn't spin so I bought a full new laser assembly and put it in and watched it again laser turns blue now and disc spins fine but still won't show up on the TV. Any info how that could be?

I think something might be up with my original Game Boy’s start button, it sometimes double-presses in games like R-Type and Mario & Yoshi.

My system is unmodded and has the same boards as it originally hadMore (but was recapped last year).

Even if I choose not to mod my system, would this a suitable choice of board for the controls?

Importantly, are B and A in the same places as they are on a regular stock original Game Boy?

This screencap was taken on an iPhone 14 Pro.

Thank you.

P.S. If you’re based in the UK and have any replacement ribbon cables to the New Nintendo 3DS’s power button (not XL!), can you please sell me one?

Hey all! I recently came upon a trove of old games and consoles I'm going through the process of cleaning and checking. Among them is Super Street Fighter 2 for Sega Genesis. It works on my actual Genesis, but the AtGames console I tried it on gave a blank red screen. Is that normal?
